The Driver Era Performs for Thousands at Ascend Amphitheater
The Driver Era’s Obsession Tour—named after their recently released album—stopped in Nashville, TN on June 24th with Valé. This tour was so highly anticipated that people started to line up as early as five in the morning.
Columbian artist Valé started off the night with a blend of r&b, pop, and latin flair. Her upbeat dance moves and engaging energy had the fans dancing and singing, proving her to be to get the crowd going before The Driver Era. If people in the crowd didn’t know her before, they do now, her unique blend of music creating a lasting impression with the audience.
After performing at a smaller indoor venue in 2021, The Driver Era made it to the big stage of Ascend Amphitheater. Their set proved they belonged not only at Ascend, but at an even bigger venue for their next tour. Fans lined up early for the best spot in the pit, lines wrapped around the venue hours before doors opened, and the fan’s excited screaming filled the amphitheater throughout their performance. The fans sang, danced, and shouted eagerly as the band performed through most of the songs from Obsession, a few older ones, and a cover mash-up that included early 2000’s hit Say My Name. Vocalist Ross Lynch has a unique sound that perfectly fits the band’s style, and anyone who watched him on TV over a decade ago can attest to how much he has grown as a vocalist. The Driver Era is a band that continues to grow and will continue to rise over the next few years, their sound distinctive and mesmerizing.
