Pinned Down
Pinned Down By Rebecca Rathe
Pinned Down is the latest addition to Rebecca Rathe’s addictive, standalone sports romance series, Forbidden Goals, which follows new characters in a new sport with each release.
Pinned Down follows two former rival wrestlers turned reluctant college teammates. Lincoln “Beck” Beckett has every reason to resent Brody. During a humiliating moment in one of their high school matches, Brody witnessed a secret Beck has spent years trying to bury. Now that they’re on the same team, Beck is terrified that secret could surface, so he keeps his distance, even when Brody becomes the target of cruel teammates.
What begins as resentment quickly shifts. As Beck’s hostility softens, he discovers something unexpected in Brody: safety. With him, Beck can finally loosen his grip on the control he clings to so tightly. Their chemistry is electric, their dynamic magnetic. Despite their clashing personalities and personal baggage, they fit together in a way that feels inevitable.
Though the novel delivers plenty of heat, it never sacrifices heart. Tension, rivalry, and raw vulnerability intertwine as both men fight the connection pulling them closer. Beck may start off difficult to like, especially in the way he allows Brody to be treated, but as the cracks in his armor widen, his fear and longing become impossible to ignore. Watching him unravel and rebuild makes their love story all the more satisfying.
